Iregbu is currently researching the thematic area of Climate Change Technology Transfer.

He contributed to Nigeria and Climate Change – Road to COP15 – Nigeria’s national position on the Copenhagen climate negotiation conference and has continued to research climate technology issues.

Iregbu is a member of a team working to introduce index insurance as a risk management mechanism for farmers in Nigeria. He also coordinates the activities of the Nigeria Youth Climate Action Network.
