Ewah Otu Eleri, Director
Executive Director, International Centre for Energy, Environment & Development – Nigeria’s leading Think Tank on climate change and sustainable energy policy.
Ewah has worked on energy and environment reform in several African countries. Over the past 20 years, he has consulted for international development institutions and governments. He is the Lead Author of theRenewable Energy Master Plan – the Federal Government of Nigeria’s 20-year Renewable Energy Investment Framework.
Ewah holds an MPhil degree in Political Science from the University of Oslo and has held research positions at the Fridtjof Nansens Institute and the Centre for International Energy and Climate Research, Oslo. He is currently the Coordinator of Nigeria Climate Action Network. |

Richard Olayiwola Fagbenle, Senior Associate
Professor Fagbenle is an ICEED Senior Associate and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University. He obtained a Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA.
Prof Fagbenle, a leading energy expert, is involved in several national and international energy projects and programmes. He was the first Director of Energy Affairs in the Republic of Botswana and later the Energy Advisor to the government in 1998 - 2002. He has been actively involved in Nigeria’s energy sector as Consultant on several national projects, among which are: the Renewable Energy Master Plan (REMP); the National Energy Master Plan (NEMP); Renewable Electricity Action Programme; World Alliance for Decentralized Energy (WADE) project on Nigeria; Canadian Government’s Clean Development Mechanism Small Projects Facility for Nigeria.
Prof Fagbenle is on Nigeria’s climate change negotiating team as an Adviser on Technology Transfer issues. |

Ishaku Huzi Mshelia, Senior Associate
Huzi is an ICEED Senior Associate and Environmental Lawyer with keen interests on climate change and clean energy legislation. He co-authored the Bill to Establish the National Climate Change Commission which has been passed by the Senate and House of Representatives. He is currently participating in ICEED research to produce the Nigerian Clean Energy Bill.
Huzi is a graduate of the Nigerian Law School and a member of several professional bodies. He is a member of the Advisory Panel of Nigeria Climate Action Network and part of the Federal Government’s negotiating team for the Copenhagen climate change negotiations. He is also the Director of the Clean Energy and Safe Environment Initiative and Partner in Huzi & Associates. |

Adeola Ijeoma Eleri, Project Manager
Adeola is the Project Manager for the Copenhagen and Beyond Project a joint project between ChristianAid, VSO and ICEED and funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office under the UK Government Strategic Programme Fund. A bioenergy and gender specialist she works on addressing poverty, inequality and promoting good governance through the various ICEED projects. Adeola has a Masters degree in Environmental Biology and wide experiences in the development of biogas and improved wood fuel stoves. Her interests lie in the eradication of poverty through the provision of access to affordable, modern and sustainable energy services. |

Angie Boddy, Communications Advisor
Angie is a communications strategist, volunteering with ICEED through VSO. She has experience in journalism, website content strategy and writing, project management and community advocacy. Angie has a keen interest in climate change and issues of environmental justice. She studied Environmental Studies and International Development and Political Science at York University and Journalism at Ryerson University, both in Toronto. She will be assisting with capacity building, media relations, communication and advocacy efforts until August 2010. |

Feyisayo Ilesanmi, Senior Project Officer
Feyi is a LEAD Fellow, is the Senior Project Officer on the Nigerian Climate Action Network (Project) funded by Coalitions for Change- a DFID Program and implemented by International Centre for Energy, Environment and Development. She works on strengthening institutional responses to Climate Change and currently serves on the steering committee for the development of National Adaptation Strategy & Plan of Action. Her areas of interest include of study of eco-friendly technologies for mitigating and adapting to climate change impact. Of particular concern are the potentials inherent in reuse, recycling and renewable energies which is yet underutilized. She enjoys working on analysis that result cost saving, better value and lasting impact. |

Hamzat B. Lawal, ICT Officer
Hamzat is the Information and Communications Technology Officer at the International Centre for Energy, Environment and Development (ICEED). He is responsible for networking, system troubleshooting, electronic data management, software and hardware installation, and management of the office’s website, CUG, internet and intra-net networks. |

Iregbu Kalu Uduka, Research Assistant
Iregbu is currently researching the thematic area of Technology Transfer at ICEED. He holds a B.Sc in Government and Public Administration from Abia State University Uturu. Iregbu is completing his Post Graduate studies in Political Science, (majoring in Public Administration and Policy Analysis), from the University of Abuja. Before joining ICEED, Iregbu worked in the National Assembly as a Legislative/ Research Assistant to Senator Uche Chukwumerije from 2005 to May 2009.

Ngodoo Sylvia Akuto, Research Assistant
Ngodoo is a sociologist. She is currently working with ICEED on Adaptation to Climate Change efforts. The research focuses on how best Nigeria can adapt to the prevailing climate change challenges. Ngodoo has a B.Sc in Sociology and Anthropology from Benue State University, Makurdi, Benue State, and is completing M.Sc. in Gender Studies from the University of Abuja. Her major interest is in rural poverty reduction as reflected in policies, initiatives and gender dimensions.

Okechukwu Ugwu, Project Officer
Okey is an electrical engineer with specialization in renewable energy technologies such as Stand-Alone and Grid-Connected Solar PV systems, Bioenergy Technologies and Wind Energy systems. Okey is the Project Officer on all Renewable Energy projects and assists in the development of Clean Energy Bill for Nigeria. |

Onochie Anwara, Finance Officer
Onochie is responsible for financial accounting and report preparation. Prior to this, Onochie held a project management role with ICEED, and holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from the University of Nigeria. |

Precious Osamede Onuvae, Research Assistant
Precious is engaged in Climate Change Financing in Nigeria and other related research projects. Previously, she worked for the World Bank Country Office, Abuja, Nigeria as a Research Assistant with the Economic Team and the Gas to Power Integrated Project (World Bank Assisted) as a Public Relations Officer. She holds a B.Sc in Economics from Ambrose Alli University, Edo State and is completing a Masters degree in the same field at the University of Abuja. She is also an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria. Her key interest is in policies geared toward poverty alleviation in the rural areas.

Uloma Onuma, Research Associate
Uloma is a lawyer who has keen interest in climate change issues. She is working on research projects that examine the response of emerging economies to climate change mitigation. Her research also involves examining the potential for power generation that delivers co-benefits for low carbon job creation in Nigeria.
Uloma is a graduate of the Nigerian Law School and holds a Masters Degree in International Law from the University of Cape Town. |

Michael-Donovan Ezeilo
Michael-Donovan is the ICEED Information Officer. Before joining ICEED, he worked with the Nigerian Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency as a System Analyst. Michael-Donovan received youth leadership training at the prestigious Ken Nnamani Center for Leadership and Development. He holds a bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. |
